Waverider 470

Standard Features

The Waverider 470 is one of the most popular models Gemini has produced. The reason for this is, is that it suits most people to use as a roomy light weight boat that you can use for any purpose you wish, such as, diving, fishing, skiing or rescue.

It can be towed by a small car (1.3 ltr) and stowed in normal sized garage or in the back yard. It has enough space to carry 6 passengers comfortably.

The hull has a deep vee at the front, which gives it a great ride for a boat this size. It can be steered with either a tiller steer motor, which allows for and open deck area or it can be fitted with a Commander 400 console and a rear lounge.

It has a self-bailing deck with a non-slip finish. It has a built in anchor locker, which can be used for extra seating in the boat.

It can take either twin or single motors, with the most popular being a single 60 hp motor. This allows the boat to be used for either water skiing or a full complement of divers right down to the family day out on the water.

The 470 can be upgraded in many forms and various Navies and rescue groups use it. It can be built to meet SOLAS specifications
